1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of foundersgamereserve.com, operated for Founders Lodge by Mantis (“we”, “us”). By using the site you accept these terms. They cover website use only — stays, payments and cancellations are governed by the booking terms confirmed at the time of reservation or quotation.
2. Rates and information
Rates, availability, seasonal dates and inclusions shown on this site (including whole-lodge exclusive-use rates) are indicative, quoted in South African Rand inclusive of 15% VAT unless stated otherwise, and subject to change and availability until confirmed in writing in a quotation or booking confirmation. We take care to keep content accurate but do not warrant that all information is error-free at all times. Wildlife sightings — on game drives or the live cam — are nature’s call, not a contractual promise.
3. Bookings and payments
Room bookings made via the BOOK NOW facility are processed on Accor’s platform (all.accor.com) under Accor’s terms of sale. Exclusive-use and direct enquiries are handled by our reservations team; the payment, deposit and cancellation terms applicable to those bookings are set out on the relevant page of this site and confirmed in your quotation.
4. Live cam
The waterhole live stream is provided in partnership with Africam and delivered via YouTube. Availability of the stream is not guaranteed; feeds may be interrupted by weather, power, connectivity or maintenance.
5. Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, photography, video, logos and the Founders Lodge name and marks — belongs to us or our licensors (including Mantis Collection and Accor brand assets) and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without written permission. Limited sharing for personal, non-commercial purposes, with attribution, is welcome.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site: no attempts to breach security, scrape at disruptive volumes, submit unlawful or deceptive enquiry content, or infringe the rights of others.
7. Third-party links
The site links to third-party services (Accor, Africam, YouTube, TripAdvisor, social platforms). We are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information — their own terms and policies apply.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, to the maximum extent permitted by law (including the Consumer Protection Act where applicable), we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
9. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
