What You May See
The Founders Reserve is home to rhino, giraffe, kudu, zebra, warthog, bushbuck, impala and a rich variety of birdlife. The cam is set at a waterhole, so activity varies with the time of day, season and temperature. Best viewing is typically in the early morning and late afternoon.
Founders Lodge also enjoys traversing rights on the greater Shamwari conservancy, so it is not unusual for rangers to track lion, elephant, buffalo and cheetah during a stay.
